Men's Golf Team Places Ninth at Carthage Invite

WEST DUNDEE, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's golf team totaled a two-day score of 632 to place ninth out of 16 teams at the Tim Kopka Memorial Tournament hosted by Carthage College.

Elmhurst shot a 319 on day one and a 313 on day two to finish with the 632. Carthage College won the tournament with a 579. Elmhurst's B team added a 12thplace finish with a two-day score of 645 (343-302).

John Carroll led the Bluejays by tying for 11th place with a 151. Carroll shot a 76 on day one and a 75 on the second day. Sean Lenchner tied fo 19th place with a 153 (76-77) while Jeremy Yoder tied for 52nd place (77-85). Tyler Beyak tied for 69th place with a 168 (91-77) and Gavin Lux completed the Bluejays' team score with a 174 (90-84), tying for 78th place in the process.

Kyle Brenkman paced the B team with a top-10 finish. After shooting a 78 on day one, Brenkman fired a team-leading 72 on day two to finish with a 150 and tie for seventh place. C.J. Beisswanger tied for 52nd place and carded a 162 (86-76) while Jake Briscoe shot a 169 (88-81) to place 72nd. Sam Slusher finished 81st with a 175 (91-84). After not competing on day one, Wyatt Stickney shot a 73 on day two.
