Men's Golf Team Takes Third at Own Invite

OAK BROOK, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's golf team totaled a one-day score of 312 to place third at the Elmhurst Fall Golf Invitational at Oak Brook Golf Club.

The Bluejays' B squad added a fourth-place finish with a 315. The University of Dubuque won the team title with a three-under-par 285. Millikin University placed second with a 306.

Sean Lenchner was the top finisher for the Bluejays' shooting a four-over-par 76 to tie for sixth place. John Carroll and Wyatt Stickneyboth finished with a 78 to tie for 15th place. Kyle Brenkman shot an 80 (tied for 27th place) and Jeremy Yoder finished with an 83 (tied for 38th) to round out the Bluejays' scoring.

Elmhurst's B squad was led by Gavin Lux's five-over-par 77. Lux tied for 13th place in the process. C.J. Beisswanger and Sam Slushercarded identical scores of 79 to tie for 22nd place. Tyler Beyak added an 80 to tie for 27th place and Jordan Jensen finished with an 84 to place 41st.

Jake Briscoe carded a 93 (53rd place) and Jon Gill shot a 98 (55th place) while competing as individuals.

Elmhurst competes at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational on September 29-30.
