JOLIET, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's golf squad shot a one-day total of 306 to place third out of 10 teams at the University of St. Francis Spring Invitational.
The tournament hosts won the team title with a 286 while Olivet Nazarene placed second with a 303.
Sean Lenchner and Jeremy Yoder led the Bluejays by shooting an identical five-over par score of 76 to tie for 12th place. Sam Slusherand Kyle Brinkman finished one stroke behind with a 77, tying for 18th place in the process. Wyatt Stickney rounded out the Bluejays' team score with a 78, good for 23rd place.
Elmhurst also fielded a second squad at the tournament with the Bluejays shooting a 318 to place seventh. Gavin Lux registered the lowest score of any Bluejay, shooting a four-over 75 to tie for seventh place. John Carroll added a 77 (tied for 18th) while Tyler Beyakcarded a 78 (tied for 23rd). Jake Briscoe (88 to tie for 48th place) and Jordan Jensen (97 for 56th place) rounded out the Bluejays' team score.
